A Loft Conversion can be a very cost effective way of adding another bedroom.  Turning a three bedroomed house into a four bedroom house with master suite and ensuite can take your property into a different price bracket, alternatively you may need a Home Office ( away from the rest of the house) . We can help you achieve this.  A feasibility study will need to be undertaken, a space of approximately 2.3m from the ridge of the ceiling joist when standing under the apex is required.

Dormer windows are allowed under permitted development provided they do not face the highway and do not increase the cubic volume of the house by more than 40 cu.m. for a terrace and 50 cu.m. in other cases ( there are exceptions – conservation areas etc ) . Rooflights are the simplist and cheapest way of introducing natural light into a loft space and are perfect for small rooms or bathrooms and are available in different designs and sizes.  Rooflights do no usually require planning permission. They can also be used for additional light on landings where a dormer window is not practical.
